NORMAL CLICKING

Standard single-finger clicking with natural muscle tension. Use a comfortable pace and compare your own attempts.

JITTER CLICKING

Tensing the forearm to induce controlled tremors into the index finger. This can cause strain; avoid sustained tension.

BUTTERFLY CLICKING

Alternating two fingers (index and middle) on a single mouse button. Results depend on the mouse and its input settings.

DRAG CLICKING

Friction dragging across a textured mouse switch surface to register rapid micro-bounces on some mice.

CPS SCORE COPIED

How to take the click speed test

Choose a duration of 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds and select the left or right mouse button. Your first accepted click on the pad starts the timer and counts toward your score. Continue clicking inside the pad until the timer ends. Touch input counts as left-click input, so choose left click when testing on a phone.

How CPS is calculated

Clicks per second equals accepted clicks divided by the selected duration. For example, 35 clicks in a five-second test gives 7 CPS. The live display counts clicks in a recent one-second window; the final result averages the entire test. Peak CPS is the highest recent-window count sampled during the run and can differ from the final average.

Which test duration should I choose?

A one-second run measures a short burst and can vary considerably between attempts. Five or ten seconds gives more time to settle into a rhythm. Longer runs show how your pace changes over time. Compare results using the same duration, mouse button, device, and input method. Changing the duration or button resets the current test.

Understanding your result

The result includes your average CPS, total clicks, and a playful score label. These labels are internal to this tool; they are not population percentiles or official gaming rankings. Hardware, touch behavior, browser scheduling, and input settings can all affect the score.

Retrying and sharing

Choose Restart Benchmark to clear the previous run, or Copy Result to copy your score to the clipboard. A result is not saved as an online leaderboard entry. For everyday counting without a deadline, use the click counter. For keyboard input, try the spacebar test.
